High-speed escalator ride

Ascending on the right, descending on the left, these escalator riders don't know how much fun they're having! Viewed in time lapse, both sides of this escalator seem to be giving the passengers the cheapest thrill ride they'll ever have as they zoom up and down in a blur of motion. Only a center section of the moving staircase is seen here, so how these speeding people disembark is left to the viewer's conjecture.
