07 December 2022, Brandenburg, Potsdam: Brussels sprouts are growing in a field at the Florahof organic vegetable farm in Bornim and are in high demand, especially now in the run-up to Christmas. 30 to 40 kilograms of Brussels sprouts are currently sold per week. The sprouts are grown according to strict organic farming standards without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. The family farm in the north of Potsdam grows vegetables and fruit on about nine hectares. The fresh produce is sold in the farm store in Florastrasse, at markets and as a subscription box.
