IRVINE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / February 23, 2024 / VAST Coaching , which restores the passion of executives by helping them to prioritize their personal well-being and uniqueness, has announced its pilot coaching program for leaders. The 12-week private group coaching cohort, which will begin online on March 5, 2024, will focus on solutions for the frustrations, fears, and challenges that executives typically struggle with on the job.

VAST Coaching was founded by leadership coach and certified trauma professional Garrett Wood, who has 10,000 hours of coaching experience. It's mission is to empower more executives to prioritize their well-being, resulting in less burnout and more personal breakthroughs. VAST Coaching 's services incorporate a biopsychosocial model with business acumen and are backed by extensive research in psychology, leadership, and organizational behavior as well as practical, real-world experience. Through one-on-one coaching sessions and small group private coaching, executives explore and embrace their uniqueness, including their needs, beliefs, values, strengths, executive functioning, and brain wiring. The goal for each leader is to learn how to develop their authentic leadership style, set personally meaningful goals based on their values, deepen their emotional regulation skills, diversify their coping techniques, and more. As a result, they will transform their personal and professional relationships and feel more able to handle the stress of their position.

The new private coaching group, to be held on Zoom, will be centered on co-regulation and its potential benefits for stressed-out leaders. Garrett explains that co-regulation is ultimately about understanding that no one is alone. "It means relief for executives because they will be with other individuals who have shared some of the same frustrations," he says. "The group will bring us all out of isolation into a supportive environment where it is safe to be vulnerable and ask for new insights and fresh ideas. It will be a resource for executives who are looking for ongoing support."

Each of the six sessions will focus on fostering creativity and collaboration as well as increasing the window of stress-tolerance of participants, i.e. how much stress they are able to adapt to and grow from. Leaders will be prompted to share a quick frustration, fear, aspiration, or hope that they are working on personally or professionally. The coach, who will identify common themes, will then ask the cohort which ones they would like to focus on for that week.

"It is very much focused on the needs of the participants," Garrett confirms. "We will provide them with a few questions to reflect on prior to the meetings. During the coaching session, the facilitator will also share some research, insights, and common thoughts and feelings around that week's topic. Then, the session will be opened up to the cohort, who may share and eventually brainstorm ideas and solutions based on the evidence and their own experiences."

Garrett adds that executives who might have ADHD may be especially interested in the pilot coaching program. A person with ADHD may struggle with executive dysfunction , including difficulties prioritizing tasks and maintaining motivated actions.

"It can seem counterintuitive, but the strategies normally used to overcome these hurdles can actually lead to burnout. In the cohort, we will explore some alternatives that may prove useful for executives with ADHD," says Garrett. "Remember, however, that anyone can experience these problems. They may also struggle with imposter syndrome or procrastination, or they may feel undeserving of their position. VAST Coaching's interventions were developed specifically to help executives with these issues. We are excited about launching our virtual group so that leaders can learn more about how to create a sustainable system and personal leadership style that works for them. We want each person to finish our coaching program with a deeper appreciation for their unique strengths and values, more skills for coping with stress, and a plan to align their position to their passion."

The private, small-group coaching sessions by VAST Coaching will be held every other Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. PT, beginning on March 5, 2024. Each of the six sessions will last for 45 minutes. To learn more about the cohort and sign up for a remaining slot, please email [email protected] .
