Please note that if there are any discrepancies between this plain-language EULA and Newscom’s complete EULA, the complete EULA (linked to above) always wins!
Newscom licenses multimedia (photos, videos, text, etc.) to professional organizations including newspapers, magazines, broadcasters, book publishers, and web sites for editorial use. What this means is that the news story, image, graphic, or video clip is used to tell a story. Licensing content gives you the ability to use the content, but only in a manner consistent with the complete EULA referenced above. Generally this means the content will be used in a newspaper, magazine, book, or on a website or broadcast program. Multimedia obtained from Newscom may not be licensed for personal use. You are not allowed to relicense content obtained from Newscom (whether for free or for a price). Please note that thumbnails (regardless of resolution or watermark) are also copyrighted material and fall under the same use restrictions as the full high resolution content.
You must understand that all content on Newscom is copyrighted and protected by law. It isn´t for personal use to obtain the latest picture of your favorite TV or movie star, politician or basketball player to pin up on your wall or use as a computer desktop. You are welcome to view the images in Newscom in your browser, but downloading them to your computer for personal use, sharing them with others, or uploading them to a photo-sharing site is absolutely not allowed under any condition. To do so is theft, and the provider of the content and/or Newscom will vigorously prosecute individuals or organizations violating these rules.
