Cloister Museum of Our Lady of Monguí. The museum contains 9 rooms where works of art by painters such as Gregorio Vásquez de Arce y Ceballos, Baltasar Vargas de Figueroa or Juan P�rez Mejía are displayed, it contains more than 130 works of pictorial art and Catholic religious objects. The construction of the basilica and the cloister (now a museum of religious art) began in 1603 and took approximately 100 years. Monguí is a municipality with a rich colonial heritage. Recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, it preserves its traditional architecture with cobblestone streets, tiled-roof houses, and balconies adorned with flowers. Monguí is part of Colombia's Network of Heritage Towns.
