Wellesley, Massachusetts USA April 21, 2014 Larry Chloupek of Maryland, 53, uses forearm crutches to compete in the Boston Marathon. Running beside him is his wife and official guide, Jenn Chloupek. Runner Stefan Carisson of Sweden (at right) encourages him with a thumbs up. They approach the halfway point of the race. Chloupek lost his leg to bone cancer at the age of seven.
