On May 9, 2024, Russia will celebrate Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War for the 79th time. The parade of troops of the territorial garrison of St. Petersburg will begin on the morning of May 9. 78 units of military equipment (including seven from the war era) will pass through Palace Square. After this, about 4,500 parade participants will march in front of the podium with veterans and other honored guests of the holiday, 3,000 of them from the Ministry of Defense.
