Image grab from footage released by Myanmar's military government television MWD on Sunday Nov 9, 2025 shows the junta blew up and demolished a major cyberscam hub in Myawaddy, near the Thai border, where hundreds were allegedly forced to commit online fraud under threat of torture and death. The Myanmar government claims it is continuing its crackdown on scammers by destroying 150 buildings so far. The operation targeted 190 buildings in the China-backed KK Park Special Economic Zone in Myawaddy Township, just 500 meters from Thailand. KK Park, spanning over 500 acres, was infamous for hosting Chinese-run scam centers, illegal gambling rings, and human trafficking networks that exploited thousands of foreign workers and targeted victims worldwide.
