April 30, 2024- Chicago, Illinois, United States: About 200 DePaul University students and faculty members joined a number of other universities across the United States to “occupy” a space on university ground in protest of the ongoing Israeli attack on Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, in response to Hamas attack on Israel, the Israeli response has caused the death of approximately 35,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom have been women and children.
