A young woman of Iranian origin dances the traditional "Simurgh Dance" in Madrid's Plaza de Callao. Simurgh Dance, is an artistic and spiritual expression deeply rooted in Persian culture and Sufi mysticism. It represents the journey of the human soul towards transcendence, wisdom, and unity with the divine. The "Simurgh" is a mythical bird from Iranian mythology, similar to the Phoenix. The dance represents a protest against the deaths at the hands of the Islamic Republic regime during the protests of recent weeks throughout the country.
