WASHINGTON, DC - July 26: Rabbi David Saperstein, executive director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, stands by after reading passage from the Hebrew Bible as Dr. Sayyid Sayeed, national director of the Islamic Society of North America, read a passage from the Koran. The two were part of an interfaith prayer vigil to "advocate for a fair budget deal that does not place an undue burden on the poor while shielding the wealthiest from any additional sacrifice." The vigil was in front of the United Methodist Building, which is across the street from the U.S. Capitol. (Photo by Scott J. Ferrell/Congressional Quarterly)
