May 22nd, 2013: Palmachim, Israel: IDF Air force soldiers with the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) "Shoval" at the Air force military base of Palmachim, Central Israel. The IAI Heron Shoval has a wide range of operational capabilities. Its primary role revolves around intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Additionally, it can be equipped with weapons systems to carry out targeted strikes. The Heron Shoval has the ability to stay airborne for extended periods, with a maximum endurance of up to 45 hours. With a service ceiling of around 35,000 feet, the Heron Shoval can operate at high altitudes. It is also designed to withstand challenging weather conditions. (Ziv Koren/Polaris)
