March 17, 1991 - Kuwait City, Kuwait: Palestinians wait for water to be delivered to their neighborhood. Kuwaiti authorities make the Palestinians wait for water because PLO Chairman Yassir Arafat supported Saddam Hussein in his invasion of Kuwait. Many also participated in the looting carried out by Iraqi troops. 200,000 Palestinians who fled the war were not allowed back in to Kuwait, and the remaining 200,000 were given one week to leave the country, losing their jobs and homes.
