Royal Australian Air Force march along the Cairns Esplanade on ANZAC Day. Current and retired Australian Defence Force members and their families took part in the ANZAC Day dawn service at the Cairns Cenotaph and march along Cairns Esplanade organized by the Cairns RSL (Returned and Services League of Australia) on the 25th of April 2024. Though ANZAC Day was initially to commemorate those lost during the Gallipoli campaign during the First World War, it is now marked in remembrance of all service people killed in military actions.
