06 October 2022. Montreuil sur Mer, Hauts de France, France. Running on empty. No fuel France. Following 2 weeks of industrial action at refineries in France, petrol stations across the country are experiencing long lines early in the morning before the pumps run dry. Police ensure civility and order is maintained as frustrated drivers wait as long as an hour in the hopes of filling up. A forecourt attendant said he hoped to receive at least one delivery a day and did not know hoe long the disruption would continue. France could grind to a halt in days if the dispute continues, and even when the dispute is resolved, it will cause a great deal of disruption as supply lines will take time to recover.
