27 January 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Sandau: After almost a year of downtime, the "Sandau" yaw ferry is once again transporting customers across the Elbe. The 180-meter-wide river crossing in northern Saxony-Anhalt bridges the connecting road between Sandau in the East Elbe and Büttnershof in the West Elbe. In Saxony-Anhalt there are still 12 ferries of state importance on the Elbe and Saale. Photo: Peter Gercke/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB
