17 January 2022, Saxony, Barthmühle: The Elster Valley Bridge. Water is penetrating the masonry of the 150-year-old stone bridge. In order to maintain its stability, the track structure of the existing arched bridge has to be rebuilt and the masonry extensively renovated. It is considered the second largest brick bridge in the world after the Göltzschtal Bridge (to dpa "Online-Pk Deutsche Bahn to renovate the historic Elstertal Bridge").
