04/26/06--Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Pa., Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., and David Beamer, far right, father of United Airlines Flight 93 hero Todd Beamer, during a news conference in support of President Bushs fiscal 2007 budget request and full funding for the Flight 93 National Memorial. United Flight 93 was one of four aircraft hijacked the morning of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The others flew into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pa., after passengers -- including Todd Beamer, who was heard on a phone say, "Let's roll" -- tried to take control of the plane. It is believed that the U.S. Capitol, in background, was the hijackers' target. Forty passengers and crew were killed. The Flight 93 National Memorial will be at the crash site. The Families of Flight 93 and its partners have raised $7.5 million of a $30 million goal. Congressional Quarterly Photo by Scott J. Ferrell
