04 February 2023, Brandenburg, Oranienburg: Inauguration of the memorial stone commemorating the Polish miner's family Leiss from Moers, among them two heavily pregnant women and the only three-year-old Marianne Leiss, at the memorial site in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. The family was taken into "clan custody" because a son of the family had allegedly deserted on the Eastern Front. Subsequently, those arrested were deported to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and murdered there on February 4, 1943. Photo: Gerald Matzka/dpa
