25 November 2021, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Neubrandenburg: The former "Stasi complex Lindenberg" was the second largest of the secret service in the GDR at all. The Neubrandenburg district headquarters of the GDR secret service in the south of the city, where there were once more than 1000 Stasi employees, was not completed until 1987. The area with the former prison (top right) is now to be redeveloped. The ideas range from demolition with subsequent housing construction to preservation and guided tours of the site not far from Lake Tollense.
