15 November 2025, North Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne: Barriers and signs at the entrances to the main station ensure that the construction work is not obstructed, while a message on a display monitor indicates that the tracks are closed. Deutsche Bahn has begun construction work on a new signal box at Cologne Central Station. Until the morning of November 24, travelers will therefore only be able to reach the city's main station by S-Bahn or U-Bahn - long-distance rail services will avoid the station by the cathedral during this time.
