13 October 2025, Saxony, Zwickau: Carsten Schneider (SPD, 2nd from right), Federal Minister for the Environment, speaks to journalists during his visit to the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau. The Volkswagen Group produces more electric cars at this vehicle plant than at any other location. The assembly lines at the VW plants in Zwickau and Dresden in Saxony came to a standstill last week.
