January 10, 20206, Chicago, Illinois, United States: Today, approximately 150 Chicagoans marched through downtown Chicago in a coordinated protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. military intervention in Venezuela. Protesters condemned the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis—an incident that has sparked national outrage and ongoing demonstrations demanding accountability and an end to aggressive federal enforcement tactics. The march also expressed opposition to U.S. involvement in Venezuela, where escalating political and military actions have raised serious concerns about sovereignty, civilian harm, and regional destabilization. Participants called for an end to foreign intervention and for U.S. policies grounded in human rights and international law. The march was organized by the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, bringing together community members in a unified call for justice, accountability, and an end to state violence both domestically and abroad.
