(230815) -- CHENGDU, Aug. 15, 2023 (Xinhua) -- Li Qiang (L), the current owner of the Guanyinge teahouse, and a waiter boil water for customers at Guanyinge teahouse in Shuangliu District of Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, Aug. 7, 2023. Guanyinge, located on a riverside at an ancient street in Shuangliu District of Chengdu, is a teahouse with a history of more than one hundred years. The name of the teahouse, Guanyinge, originates from a folk tale, in which it is said that thanks to the blessing of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Guanyin), the teahouse survived a fire a hundred years ago. Many local senior citizens enjoy spending their time at Guanyinge teahouse. The old teahouse has been listed on the protection list of historic buildings of Chengdu City. (Xinhua/Lan Hongguang)
