(240915) -- RONDONIA, Sept. 15, 2024 (Xinhua) -- An aerial drone photo taken on Sept. 12, 2024 shows the Amazon rainforest shrouded in smoke in Porto Velho, state of Rondonia, Brazil. Data recently released by Brazil's National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters shows that this year, drought has affected approximately 5 million square kilometers, impacting about 59 percent of the country's territory.
