(240915) -- VIENTIANE, Sept. 15, 2024 (Xinhua) -- An aerial drone photo taken on Sept. 14, 2024 shows some flooded low-lying villages along the Mekong River in Vientiane, Laos. Lao authorities issued a notice urging residents in the Lao capital Vientiane to take extra precautions as flood risks increased due to heavy rains and rapidly rising water levels. The level of the Mekong River in Vientiane was recorded at 12.57 meters on Friday, exceeding the danger level of 12.50 meters, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
