13 November 2024, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Neubrandenburg: Silvio Witt (non-party), Lord Mayor, addresses the city council. Several dozen people demonstrated in front of the meeting room on the market square with rainbow flags and handed over a petition calling for the rainbow flag to be put up in front of the train station again. Rainbow flags were also hung under several windows in the city center on Wednesday. The issue of the rainbow flag continues to cause heated discussions in the Neubrandenburg city council.
