06 October 2022, Thuringia, Amt Wachsenburg/Ot Kirchheim: The Kirchheimer Volkssternwarte can be seen against the backdrop of the village and the Evangelical Village Church of St. Laurentius. The construction of a sliding roof observatory at the current location of the observatory took place with the commissioning of a 12-centimeter and later a 30-centimeter telescope in the 1970s.
