21 June 2018, Zimbabwe, Zambezi: Women of the first all-female Zimbabwean anti-poaching unit are preparing for patrolling the Phundundu Wildlife Park. The women - former prostitutes, victims of violence and abandoned mothers - are called "Akashinga", or "the brave ones". The women's project is intended to end the financial gap by turning the gamekeepers into caregivers. The foundation is financed by non-governmental organisations and private donors.
