12 May 2025, Switzerland, Basel: With alphorns and Swiss folklore, the rehearsal for the first semi-final begins on the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 in the Arena St. Jakobshalle. A total of 37 acts will compete for the trophy and almost 60,000 spectators are expected to attend the nine live shows. A good 160 million people watched the music show on television in 2024.
