08 June 2023, Lower Saxony, Bramsche: Exhibition assistant Lea Engel looks at a Roman rail tank (9 AD). In 2018, the Varus Battle Museum in Kalkriese found a Roman rail tank during excavations - according to the museum, the oldest so far and the only one preserved worldwide. The museum is showing further exhibits on this in the special exhibition "Cold Case - Death of a Legionnaire" from June 10 to Nov. 5, 2023. Photo: Friso Gentsch/dpa
