08 June 2023, Schleswig-Holstein, Wedel: District heating pipes are seen at a press event to mark the completion of a wind-to-heat (power-to-heat) plant on the site of the Wedel combined heat and power plant. The new power-to-heat plant, which converts wind power into green district heating, works on the principle of a kettle and, with its 80 megawatts of output, is one of the largest in Germany, according to Hamburger Energiewerke.
