28 March 2023, Saxony, Polenz/Machern: In a sheep pen in Polenz at Landwirtschafts GmbH Machern near Leipzig (Saxony), a four-week-old little lamb drinks from its mother. The animals are currently being looked after by shepherdess trainee Clara and master shepherd Dietmar Walter. Didiee 20-year-old Clara, who plans to complete her two-year apprenticeship as a shepherdess in the summer and then study agricultural science, receives valuable support from master shepherd Siegmar Walter, who has been working as a shepherd for 47 years.
