04 February 2023, Lower Saxony, Norderney: After the storms of the last week and the storm surges and increased water levels, Norderney's northern beach up to the "Weisse Düne" excursion site is dry and safe to walk on again. In the summer of 2022, sand had first been brought up here at great expense in order to make the whole area usable for tourism. The sand has now been almost completely washed away again.
