01 February 2023, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Stralsund: Construction workers work in the exhibition hall of the Maritime Museum in St. Catherine's Monastery. As part of the museum's modernization, a complete overhaul of the exhibitions is taking place. The thematic focus - the world of warm seas - and popular exhibits such as the fin whale skeleton will remain. The construction project, which is being funded 50 percent by the federal government and 50 percent by the state of MV, is expected to cost 40 million euros.
