PRODUCTION - 05 October 2022, North Rhine-Westphalia, Grevenbroich: View of RWE's Neurath coal-fired power plant. Lignite-fired power plants in reserve are to be allowed to remain on the grid longer The federal cabinet also decided that lignite-fired power plants from so-called security standby can return to the market as of October 1.
