25 September 2022, Saxony-Anhalt, Silberhütte: The Hallimasch is a popular edible mushroom. Here it is compared with a picture in a mushroom book. Around 60 species of mushrooms lie sorted on a table in Silberhütte. The Fachgruppe Mykologie Quedlinburg , consisting of several mushroom experts from the district of Harz, has organized an exhibition for their annual mushroom hike. The aim is to train the eye of mushroom pickers to distinguish the species of mushrooms. The drought and the dead forest ensure that there is less mushroom area. Nevertheless, because of the drought, the main season has not yet begun. The mushroom experts expect that after the rains injured days in a short time with the increased mushroom growth starts.
