05 May 2024, Rhineland-Palatinate, Mainz: The top field of the half marathon is led by international participants shortly after the start. The Gutenberg Half Marathon is one of the largest sporting events in the state capital, with 10,888 participants registered (half marathon 6,301, 10 km run 1,587, school run 3,000) according to race director Jo Schindler. The traditional race, which has been reorganized this year, was awarded to an external organizer, the makers of the Frankfurt Marathon.
