The Bundeswehr, US armed forces, fire department, THW forces and other civilian organizations are involved in the exercise to secure a logistics hub in Alsfeld. During the National Guardian homeland security exercise (end of April to beginning of May), homeland security forces throughout Germany practise protecting and securing infrastructure that is important to the country's defense.
