PRODUCTION - 23 April 2024, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Wesenberg: Max Strack turns a translucent lampshade from the trunk of a poplar tree in Maxluzi's 800 square meter joinery workshop. A lamp is shone through the wood to check the wall thickness. The fresh and still damp wood is worked down to a millimeter thick wall. In addition to the wafer-thin turned wooden lampshades, the wood manufactory in the Mecklenburg Lake District, which opened in 2021, also produces small pieces of furniture and accessories made from local wood.
