PRODUCTION - 17 April 2024, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rostock: Thomas Panwitt, Operations Manager of the Rostock waterworks, stands in one of the three water storage tanks of the Nordwasser supply company. The tanks are currently being cleaned. The tanks on Rostock's highest "mountain" at 48 meters above sea level will supply 240,000 people with drinking water. Each of the three tanks has a diameter of 36 meters and a height of around 6 meters. A total of 15,000 cubic meters of drinking water can be stored in them. As a municipal company, Nordwasser GmbH operates the facilities and networks for water supply and wastewater disposal in the Hanseatic city on behalf of the Warnow Water and Wastewater Association (WWAV).
