29 March 2024, North Rhine-Westphalia, Werl: A bus lies on its side on the A44 freeway after an accident. A coach carrying around 60 passengers has left the road on the A44 highway in North Rhine-Westphalia and crashed onto its side. According to current information, it was an accident without the involvement of other vehicles and the cause is still unclear, the police announced on Friday night. It was initially unclear whether there were any injuries in the accident near Werl. The A44 was fully closed from the Unna Ost to Werl exits in the direction of Kassel.
