26 March 2024, Berlin: 26.03.2024, Berlin. An Eurasian goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) is sitting on a fence in the garden of an apartment building. It is a fully-grown adult male. With almost a hundred breeding pairs, the German capital is also known as the "capital of Eurasian goshawks". Many of the birds, which are otherwise so shy in the wild, have lost some of their fear of humans here and use gardens and parks as their hunting and breeding grounds as a matter of course.
