12 August 2022, Saxony, Plauen: Yvonne Magwas (CDU), Vice President of the German Bundestag, stands in front of the construction site of the Weisbach House in Plauen. Magwas has campaigned for the project to be supported with federal funds. The building in the style of the Franconian late baroque was erected from 1777 as a manufactory building of a calico printing works. The buildings form an important part of Saxony's industrial heritage. After completion of the work, the German Forum for Textiles and Lace is to move in here in the future. According to current plans, it is to convey the importance of local textile and industrial history to a supra-regional audience from June 2023.
