A shower of ash falls on Santa Cruz de La Palma, to 26 September 2021, in Santa Cruz de La Palma, La Palma, Canary Islands (Spain). The volcanic eruption that began last September 19 in the area of Cumbre Vieja, on the island of La Palma, has completed at 15.00 hours this Sunday a week active leaving so far almost 6,000 residents evacuated and about 400 buildings and infrastructure damaged or lost. In this sense, the administrations have launched the necessary initiatives to address the housing emergency for families who have lost their homes. It is estimated that there could be some 400 damaged or partially damaged buildings/infrastructure within the perimeter of the lava flows -- this figure includes houses, farm buildings, swimming pools or reservoirs, as well as other facilities yet to be defined --. 26 SEPTEMBER 2021;ERUPTION;LA PALMA;EVACUEES;VOLCANO Kike Rincón / LagenciaEP 09/26/2021
