Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visits the Natanz uranium enrichment facility at a desert site in the Isfahan province of Iran. The nuclear site has been the catalyst of the West's five-year standoff with Tehran over its program to enrich uranium. Tehran insists that the site is peaceful, turning natural uranium into fuel for nuclear power, while the US and western allies assert that Natanz's centrifuges are for enriching uranium into fuel for nuclear weapons.
