À Bucharest, the capital of Romania, hosted the annual days of the Romanian ground forces, where NATO member countries, present since Russia's aggression against Ukraine, were invited to meet the Bucharest public. At the beginning of 2022, under the name of Mission EAGLE, this allied Multinational Battlegroup was deployed to Romania to provide support if the conflict spilled over its borders. The Battlegroup showcased its equipment in a public park and in front of a downtown shopping center, located across from the presidential residence. Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United States, France (as the lead nation of the mission), and, of course, Romania, the host country, were all represented.
