From this particular perspective, former CDC Deputy Director Dr. David Fleming was briefing the press on the number of human monkeypox virus infections reported to date, as well as the actions taken by the CDC. , in cooperation with state health departments, to stop viral spread. Note the easel on the right, supporting a photograph depicting a scanning electron micrograph (SEM) image of a monkeypox virion.
