Tree inspections in public green spaces are carried out regularly by the green space offices of the municipalities. Green branch breakage, the sudden breaking off of individual, fully leafy branches, cannot be predicted even during regular tree inspections, he says. In Frankfurt, the green space office is responsible for nearly 190,000 trees along streets, in parks and on playgrounds.
