25 April 2024, Berlin: A participating schoolgirl sits in a "Duro 3 Yak", an armored vehicle with integrated medical equipment, during Girls' Day at the Federal Ministry of Defence. The annual day of action aims to get schoolgirls interested in careers that young women rarely consider. Around 40 young women between the ages of 15 and 17 are given an insight into the daily work of female soldiers, civil servants and civilian employees, such as an emergency paramedic, a protocol soldier or an electronics instructor.
